Is this genuine ownership, or a novelty “adopt a vine” thing?
Genuine. You hold a defined, GPS-mapped share of a working vineyard in Rioja Alavesa for years, with your name on the plot and the wine that comes off it. You are invited to harvest and you vote on the winemaking.
Is it all one vineyard split into pieces?
No, and that is the point. We do not carve up a single estate. We find a plot to match the taste we discover at your tasting, sourced across La Rioja. Love structure and you may end up in Rioja Alta’s clay-limestone soils. Love bold fruit and it may be the warmer terroir of Rioja Oriental.
How does the tasting work?
It starts with the Discovery Kit: six wines tasted with our founder and head winemaker. Ideally in person at the bodega in La Rioja or at one of our tastings, or virtually if distance requires it. Your plot is sourced from what you love, glass by glass.
What does it cost, and are there ongoing fees?
ORIGIN starts from €3,900 a year for a 500 m² plot. ESTATE is from €14,750 a year for 2,000 m². The annual figure covers the farming and winemaking, so there is no land to manage and no surprise bills. We walk you through current pricing and exactly what is included on a short call.
Can I pass it on?
Yes. Your plot can be passed down through the family for generations, for as long as the annual membership is kept up. The land stays in your name and the wine keeps coming, so it becomes something you hand on rather than something that ends with you.
Do I have to manage anything?
No land to manage and no work to do. Leading Riojan winemakers handle the vines and the winemaking. You get the wine, the plot in your name, harvest invitations, and field notes through the season.
